The Connector on a Manipulator

Towards the end of the Lamechian empire, when it seemed as though it would carry on forever, the sound manipulators began building increasingly intricate devices.
One such device, the Connector, allowed them to create a link between themselves and a kind of proto-mech, a giant machine that was powered by sound and guided by the mind of the wearer.
Each tendril of the Connector would interface with a part of the mech helmet, and would either direct sound energy or the wearer’s intent into the mech.
